Bridging the Cambridge and Boston with Song at RiverSing Celebrate the first day of fall at with the 5th annual "RiverSing 2008: Bridging the Charles with Voice & Light," a free, giant community “sing” along the banks of the Charles River presented by Revels and the Charles River Conservancy. On Sunday, September 21, thousands of singers will gather along the banks of the Charles for a special community event designed to welcome in the fall while drawing attention to the Charles River, its parklands and bridges. At 5 p.m., drop by Winthrop Park in Cambridge’s Harvard Square for RiverSing entertainments of all kinds including brass bands, giant puppets and circus performers then join in the Grand Procession down to the river at 5:45 and get ready to sing! The communal singing begins at 6 p.m. and last until sunset when the underbelly of the Weeks Bridge will be uniquely illuminated by flamboyant LED lighting. |
